Team SmartDry – Girona Cycling City is out and about for another Copa de España race, this time in Torredonjimeno.
The fifth round in the Copa de España marks the debut for the Catalan rider Joan Terreros. He raced five times before in the blue and white colors of the Catalan team that is sponsored by the ‘diputacio’ of Girona, but never competed in a Copa de España race before.
“Each race went a little bit better”, Terreros says. “Now I get the chance from the team’s management to race on the highest level in Spain. I am curious to see what the level is in the Copa de España.”
“The profile of the race looks good to me: it could be a race that suits me well, but I am sure the competition is going to be enormous”, says Terreros. “I heard stories from my teammates about the level of racing. They do not frighten me, but I am aware that racing on the highest level in Spain is something different.”
“It’s going to be exciting for sure, and I hope this race will be the start of more races in the Copa de España.”
Once again, Team SmartDry – Girona Cycling City will be represented by an international group of riders. The team is lining up seven riders from five different countries and three different continents.
